<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Oh my gosh - I last 'blogged' in April! Seriously, where has the last few months gone!! Most of you would be up to date via our Facebook page which I regularly update but here's the news ...<br />
May = '<a href="http://www.teasebotanix.co.nz/shop/eye%20and%20lip%20creme%20night%20oil/Meadowfoam%20Night%20Elixir%2015ml">Meadowfoam Night Elixir</a>' &amp; '<a href="http://www.teasebotanix.co.nz/shop/moisturisers/Immortelle%20Rejuvenating%20Creme%2050gr">Immortelle Rejuvenating Creme</a>' both received Highly Commended in the "2013 Oh Natural Beauty Awards", for Best Night Product and Best Day Creme respectively. <img src='http://www.teasebotanix.co.nz/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> <br />
June = A fabulous review from 'Goodie Box' beauty reviewer, read here:<br />
<a href="http://magazine.goodiebox.co.nz/what-a-tease-teasebotanix-skincare-range/">http://magazine.goodiebox.co.nz/what-a-tease-teasebotanix-skincare-range/</a><br />
July = We exhibited our gorgeous products at the NZ Beauty Expo in Auckland last weekend, and have one stockist sign up this week (announcing her details very soon).  And our new Orange Blossom Hand Creme was a hit at Expo, so it will go into production for a 1st August launch date. <img src='http://www.teasebotanix.co.nz/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Wow, why did I decide to jump on the scales on New Years Eve while consuming a few too many yummy creamy delicious cocktails with good friends of mine in Masterton??  DEPRESSING!!  Where on earth did those extra 3 kilos over my 'top end' weight come from??  Sigh .... I know, I know ... what goes in must be countered with exercise <img src='http://www.teasebotanix.co.nz/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':-(' class='wp-smiley' />   And not much of that has been happening the past 12-18 months I can tell you.  With business moving along at a steady pace, its been hard to 'find' the time - and all the other excuses I could come up with springs to mind.<br />
Anyway, on the 2nd January I decided to change my eating habits - omit crackers and cheese/creamy spreads for a slices of cucumber with hummus, drink more water during the day, and walk my dog in the cool of the morning instead of giving up on that idea as the air is still hot at 8.00pm!<br />
And heres a link on good detoxing ideas too .... I'm going to up my efforts I think as I'm already feeling less bloaty <img src='http://www.teasebotanix.co.nz/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I came across this article and although I couldn't have written it better myself, *I have added my own 2 cents worth...  :-)</p>
<p>10 Natural Ways to Get Beautiful Right Now - By <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.mindbodygreen.com/wc/katrine-van-wyk">Katrine van Wyk<br />
</a>Looking your best doesn't have to be expensive or unnatural. Here are 10 easy ways to get beautiful, naturally, right now:<br />
<strong>1. Dry-skin brush<br />
</strong>Use a bristled brush and stroke your skin while still dry a few mornings a week before you shower. This simple morning routine increases circulation of lymph and blood and removes dead skin cells! You’ll get glowing, smooth and touch-worthy skin, guaranteed.<br />
<strong>2. Sauna<br />
</strong>Sweating is good for us and a dry sauna helps the body excrete toxins. The <a rel="nofollow" title="" href="http://www.mindbodygreen.com/tag/skin.html">skin</a> is one of the body’s elimination organs and when we allow it to breath by removing dead cells (dry skin brush) and sweat it can do its job a lot better.<br />
<strong>3. Exercise<br />
</strong>Get the <a rel="nofollow" title="" href="http://www.mindbodygreen.com/tag/fitness.html">blood flowing</a> with some kind of exercise of your choice. It will bring color to your skin and the increased amount of endorphins and confidence looks good on you! Include some exercises like Pilates or yoga for good posture. Hold your head high, be present and smile – you are beautiful!<br />
<strong>4. Have sex<br />
</strong>After an orgasm your body gets flooded with the feel-good hormone endorphin and growth hormones that make you look and feel young. That’s right – these hormones help wipe out damage from sun and stress. The deep breathing you experience during <a rel="nofollow" title="" href="http://www.mindbodygreen.com/tag/sex.html">sex</a> also increases your oxygen intake and decreases stress. So go forth!<br />
<strong>5. Green Juice<br />
</strong>A <a rel="nofollow" title="" href="http://www.mindbodygreen.com/0-3398/My-Morning-Green-Juice.html">green juice</a> is like a loaded liquid multi vitamin! Cucumber is hydrating, especially for your skin, and the greens are alkalizing and aid the body’s detoxification process. Try this as your one-a-day multi and see what happens.<br />
<strong>6. Lather your skin with oils *AND GOOD SKINCARE:<br />
</strong>Avoid the toxic perfumes, parabens and additives and lather your skin up with 100% pure oils like *coconut, *jojoba, argan oil and Shea butter. Jojoba oil is especially great for oily skin as it help balance out the skins natural occurring oils. *Avocado is full of vitamins, Olive is full of anti-oxidants, Sunflower &amp; Safflower don't clog up your pores as heavier oils may.  Evening Primrose Oil is great for balancing, and Rosehip Oil is reknowned for rejuvenating and healing scarred, damaged skin.  All these *oils are used in Tease Botanix skincare products, are cold-pressed/unprocessed to retain natural goodness. <img src='http://www.teasebotanix.co.nz/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
<strong>7. Get a shower filter</strong><br />
Our body absorbs what we put on it –  and that goes for the water we bath and shower in too! There is added chlorine in all our tap water today. Chlorine dries out the skin and can even cause rashes and itchiness. Get a shower filter that filters out chlorine and other chemicals from you water. Your skin will thank you!<br />
<strong>8. Eat fat and make an oil change<br />
</strong>We need good fats to maintain a skin that’s well hydrated - that stays plump, dewy and wrinkle free. Eat avocados, salmon, chia seeds, sardines and <a rel="nofollow" title="" href="http://www.mindbodygreen.com/tag/coconut-oil.html">coconut oil</a> and ditch the processed oils (canola, sunflower, corn, soy etc.) – they are much more likely to oxidize and cause inflammation in the body – and is therefore not a beatifying food at all.<br />
<strong>9. Eat the rainbow<br />
</strong>Fruit and vegetables with bright colors are also high in antioxidants that help fight free radicals in out body. Free radicals are a main source of aging for our skin and body, so beat it at the cause with natural foods, not with fillers and expensive topical magic potions.<br />
<strong>10. Cut the sugar<br />
</strong>By now you’ve probably heard that sugar is toxic and can lead to a range of chronic diseases. But it also causes inflammation, which make you age faster, cause wrinkles and even acne. Stick to fruits and sweet vegetables as your main sources of sweetness. (Bonus: you’ll get all those good <a rel="nofollow" title="" href="http://www.mindbodygreen.com/tag/antioxidants.html">antioxidants</a> in too!)</p>
<p>*All excellent tips &amp; advice that are inexpensive to do, or change, that will make a huge difference.  My question to you ... Will you start now, or after New Years .. hmmm??</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It takes good skincare, good genes, healthy diet and healthy living to achieve what most of us aspire towards ... beautiful natural glowing skin.  Regardless of age, it is obtainable with a bit of work and no how... here something to start with:</p>
<p><strong>Hydrate... </strong>drink at least 8 glasses of water daily to avoid dehydration. <em>Water</em> clears toxins from our bodies, stops it from drying out and help to plump up cells.  Too much water can be taxing on kidneys though, so be mindful of thinking too much is a good thing.</p>
<p><strong>Vitamins ... </strong>a deficiency in vitamin B, <em>C</em> and <em>E</em> can lead to premature wrinkles.  Orange fruits and vegetables are full of <em>vitamin A</em> that promotes repair of the skin and prevents the build-up of dead, pore clogging cells.<strong> </strong>Wholegrain, nuts, fish and dairy products are good sources of vitamin B &amp; E as well as oils. Vitamin C helps prevent the pigment clumping that the sun turns into age spots and can be found in fruits &amp; veges.  Plus Vitamin C helps the oil-secreting glands function properly to keep your skin from drying out.</p>
<p><strong>Anti-oxidants ... </strong>foods containing anti-oxidants will boost the immune system, fight infections and heal scars. <em>Manuka honey</em>, dark berries, <em>green tea</em>, and even red wine and <em>dark chocolate</em> (high in cocoa not milk) are great food sources of anti-oxidants.  Anti-oxidants can also reduce the aging process by fighting against toxins (free-radicals) within the body.</p>
<p><strong>Oils ... </strong>our skin needs a boost of good (unsaturated) oils.  Oils are crucial to our diet to protect our cells and boost the condition of our skin and as a bonus lower our cholesterol and protect our heart. <em>Olive oil</em>, fish oil, <em>avocado</em>, <em>sunflower oil</em>, nuts &amp; seeds contain good fats and will boost the condition of your skin and promote skin elasticity.</p>
<p><strong>Collagen ... </strong>the body needs collagen for to help retain the structure of our skin tissue and protects against cell damage. Natural collagen can be found in spinach, kale (seaweed), almonds and asparagus.</p>
<p><strong>Tease Botanix ...</strong> <em>in our products</em> we use alot of the oils, vitamins and anti-oxidants listed above - applying such luscious ingredients topically is only one part of the process ... but its a start.  :-)</p>
